Swapped engines – removed Nissan 2 stroke 8 hp. mounted Tohatsu 4 stroke 6 hp. Rebuilt carb and new plug. Had to set idle. Very simple proceedure; departed with Effie the dog. Planned Jib only sail. Headed Southwest out of channel. winds SE 7 mph. At 1pm winds shifted to south/ southwest and got to 9 mph. I jibed before the ICW and headed back up the bay. With winds shifting direction, I decided to raise mainsail. Better sailing and tacked to sail back to Pirates Cove. Nancy Leonard Hailed me from a 40 ft. Carver yatch. I sailed into Roberts Bayou and dropped the main before beaching at Cove. Sat with Nancy and her party while they lunched. Sailed back to Soldier Creek. Nice day.
