We left La Coruna and sailed to Laxe. We anchored there for two nights. We met a lot of lovely Dutch families there, also sailing south!! The children loved playing on the white sandy beach (building sand castles!) and playing with the other children. We had rain on a couple of occasions. The temperature continues to stay in the twenties which is very pleasant!
We sailed a long the coast to Muxia. Only a morning sail, very pleasant. We were told by our Polish friends that there was a free marina here so we came to investigate. In the almanac it states it is a fishing harbour and yachts can anchor. In reality there is a lovely clean marina with free electric hook up. No water supply though. Thankfully we hold plenty of water! The local council built it two years ago. Its unheard of ay!!!
We are sheltering here from the southerly winds. Think we will leave on monday. Heading for Bioana?(not sure of spelling)
Yesterday we took the children to the park. There we met a lovely spanish family. They have two children similar age to Sadie and Jacob. They live in Madrid and have a holiday apartment here. They were very interested in our story. They invited us to their home. They have told us lots of local history and been very kind to us. Last night they came and visited us on the yacht. We have been quite overwhelmed with their kindness!! They drove james to the nearest petrol station to fill up the jerry can. Very blessed!!
We will update again very soon. Take good care. xox
