Interim progress report

North Pacific Ocean 531 nm to go; latitude of Munich (Germany), Mouth of the St. Lawrence River (Canada), Neah Bay, WA (at entrance of Juan de Fuca Strait)
It has been an interesting couple of days with our first experience at sea of a “Near Gale” (7 on the Beaufort Scale) with steady winds of 25 to 28 knots and gust to 33 knots and seas of 14 ft (4.5 m). There are some tales to tell (watch this blog) but in the meantime we can report that we are both well, are continuing to make good progress towards Sitka, and are greatly enjoying the calmer conditions.
