Raining till 10 a.m. and sky full of dark clouds.  We left the marina at 11 a.m. after checking out with the Port Police and made our way to anchor at Skala Loutra in the Gulf of Yera on the South of the island.  We entered the channel , Brian being very careful to stay in the channel this time, and anchored in Skala Loutra to the right of the bay in 7 metres of water.  There were two other yachts anchored here and four more at the head of the bay – this is the most yachts we have seen in the Eastern Sporades.  It was very peaceful here after being in Mitilini for the last 5 nights and we enjoyed it although as soon as we arrived around 2 p.m. it started raining again.
