We awoke early as it was an uncomfortable night in the harbor and departed at 6.25 a.m.   It was very hazy and a good 14 knots of wind took us flying through the straights between Samos and the Turkish mainland.  On the other side however it was flat calm with just 3 knots of wind.  We motorsailed to Kusadasi on the Turkish mainland, the next stop along the way, hoping to meet up with the EMYR boats.

There were two cruise ships in the Port as we passed to the marina which is to the left of the Port.   We were guided in to berth on C2 pontoon and when presenting our papers at the office, we found out that the EMYR boats were due to arrive tomorrow and a trip to Ephesus was organized for Thursday at a cost of 25 TL each plus 35 TL to enter the museum, this includes transport, a guide for the day and lunch !  We booked ourselves on the trip and on Thursday night there is a BBQ party to welcome the EMYR which of course we cannot miss.

We went in search for somebody who could help us with our boat problems and found KY Electrics in the marina.  They came on board and are trying to solve the issues.  We will be staying here now till at least Friday and hopefully they can fix the autopilot and radio by then. 

Today is our granddaughter’s first birthday –  Happy 1^st Birthday Esmee !
