The anchorage wasn’t too bad with just a gentle swell to rock us to sleep. Bill and Janet have decided to head off to Samos and then on to Kusadasi tomorrow as they need to check out of Turkey to gain some days on their visas.
We are off to the north of Leros island today to a bay called Ormos Partheni. We arrived there around 12.30 p.m. after a two hour motorsail in a choppy sea again. We anchored tucked in to the left hand corner of the bay surrounded only by small fishing boats at anchor but very well sheltered. The sounds of the goat herd on the hill with their bells tinkering and the noise of a small aircraft taking off on the airfield close by amused us for the afternoon.
“Quicksilver’ arrived in the bay about 4.30 p.m., Bill and Caroline our friends from the EMYR. They came on board for a meal and it was good to see them again and catch up with their plans and they wish to be remembered to all other EMYR friends out there.
