April 28, 2012

The wind blew during the night but we were safely tucked into Kalimnos harbor protecting us from the North westerly wind.  We departed at 9.15 a.m. making our way around the east coast of Kalimnos and up to the Greek island of Leros.  Very choppy and swelly sea with 9 knots of wind on the nose.

We arrived at Leros around midday and picked up a mooring bouy in Xerokambos next to the small fishing harbor.  A boat was just leaving the bay as we arrived and we were the only boat here.

Halcyon Daze arrived at 4.30 p.m. as they had stopped for lunch in a bay along the way and we were invited on board for drinks and a meal which turned out to be a very pleasant evening.  We launched the dinghy for it’s first outing and the outboard started straight away – marvelous!
