Gouvia

October 22, 2011

We pulled out of Sagaida, motored out of the harbour and set course for Gouvia.

The instructions for today were for all Sailing Holidays’ boats returning to Gouvia to call in at the fuel berth so that their deisel tanks could be topped up.

This meant we had to warn the engineers doing the fuelling at the fuel berth that we might well lose our engine when we went to neutral…

After leaving the fuel quay we moved on into the marina and found a spare berth. This was a bit of a problem as there were some 90 Sailing Holiday’s boats coming in on the same day, and we had arrived ahead of Kyra so we had to pick our own slot. Another problem was that the first couple of empty berths that we went for turned out to have lost their lazy lines.

Well that is another trip completed and 288 miles covered which is the most that I have ever managed on flotilla.
