An exciting de-rafting in St. Martin de Re followed by an uneventful sail downwind to La Rochelle. Peter and Flavia on Starspray beat me down by a 4 to 6 knot margin. Maybe I should have hoisted the main sail. Lunch with Roy and Mia on Zamia and then a walk round the old town of La Rochelle, It is another gem worth seeing but preferably out of the high season.
