Forecast wind of 10-20knts turned out to be a more or less consistent 30knts and the swell was something horrible. While the wind finally died down when it got dark, Rebel then turned sidewards onto the waves/swell, which made everything in cupboards that was not wedged in tight hurtle from one side to the other – including us in our beds. So we turned and lay across the bed…

We went ashore first thing this morning to top up our reserve diesel cannisters and then upped anchor and headed for the north end of the bay – Long Point. At present there is virtually no swell and the turquoise water so inviting that I might even have a swim. Thank goodness the engine performed as it should.
