Brian and Chris set to installing the solar panels on each other’s boat whilst Lois and I went to the butchers and the fishmongers.
In the afternoon, as promised, Dieter arrived and wired up the solar panel on Endeavour under the watchful eyes of Brian and Chris. Once done, he left it to them to wire the solar panel on Morne Fortune and only charged us for one hour’s labour.
If anybody wants solar panels for their boat, we would highly recommend Dieter at ‘Metronix Marine Electronics’ in Levkas, he is a fellow sailor and all his products are reasonably priced and he is a genuine guy who will not rip you off. He is very willing to share his knowledge on marine equipment.

Solar Panels on a boat- how cool is that!!!
We’re off to South Africa for 3 weeks, next Wed. A BIG tour from Victoria Falls to Capetown with safari’s etc in between so will look forward to catching up when we return. It’ll be quite different to the trip we did in Feb to the Antarctic..Solar panels would have been welcome there…Brrr……Brilliant though!! Love Viv Edge.x
