The crew consists of the following mates:

Admiral George, Capain Peter, Sous Chef ThaiLyn and crew Beth. The boat "Shoestring" is a Hughs 48 and there lots of tasks ahead to prepare her for delivery to Nassau, where her owners live. The delivery is set for May and June 2009.

Right now "Shoestring" is on the hard at Port Whitby Marina in Whitby, with the snow on the ground and very cold temp. it will be tough to get ready. ThaiLyn has been looking into setting up a Blog for the trip and scouring the Internet for information on the trip, Peter is constructing a passage plan and the Admiral, well he is charge of everything else. He wears the big hat after all!!

Actually, some fairly big tasks have already been completed. All the sails have been pulled, inspected and re-packed, and the Admiral and Beth have painted her a new bottom.

Today, Captn Pete has planned all the way to Cape Fear, and has burned up 4 weeks getting here. Since the Admiral has 2 months to deliver "Shoestring" to Nassau, I guess I had better get to speeding up the trip.
