Dos Primos
Annapolis
September 08, 2008
From Fairlee Creek, we motored and sailed to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse and turned right into the South River to find a suitable ‘hole’ to wait out the Tropical Storm Hanna. The Liberty Yacht Club was a great place right on the bus route to the city and across the bridge to stores etc. We secured the boat and took the bus into Annapolis and toured the Naval Academy. This was a real experience and brought back many memories about my ROTC days in College. Those cadets sure do go through a lot. I am glad all that is behind me.
Later we walked along the city dock and ate lunch, then looked up the maritime Museum before finding the bus to go back to the boat. The next two days were very quiet waiting for the storm to pass and when it did we left in a hurry. Here is a look at the city dock and other points of interest in Annapolis
