Cool Breeze does the Chesapeake
Starting in Hilton Head Island, SC and traveling to the Chesapeake Bay and back.
May 01, 2009: 7-09-08 We’re on the last leg of our journey. We had a nice dinner at Morgan Creek Grill with Bonnie, catching up and enjoying the company. We’ve promised to keep in touch and hope she and her husband will come to visit. Our last evening was quiet as for some strange reason all the boats were obeying the “No Wake” zone in front of the marina. ... » read more

Planning for a three day three night trip up to Yorktown and back.
May 01, 2009: After a quick stop at Old Point Comfort Marina (The Army’s MWR marina) to pump-out and get gas, we anchored in Willoughby Bay for dinner: some of Laura’s Famous Chicken Pie. The wind was blowing 15-18 by now, and we had to motor straight into it across Hampton Roads. We decided to call it a trip, tucked the boat away and went home. The weather Sunday is supposed to... » read more

May 01, 2009: Wow; it has been awhile since we’ve posted anything! We are now sitting in Sousa in the Dominician Republic, on our way across to Puerto Rico. We would have stayed longer at Louperon, but thought we would take advantage of a good weather window and start our passage east. We did manage to check out some of the north countyside and do this crazy waterfall climb with natural watersides for ... » read more

May 01, 2009: The weather forecasted 2 more cold fronts so we took another hop and came in to Green Turtle Cay. The sail was Fast and COLD. We had to avoid a shoal area off of Manjack Cay, but the sail was a good one.We are in the Marina on the northern end of the island in Black Sound. The facilities are nice. March 20, 2010: I will try once again to post our final blog for Cool Breeze Sails South. In spite of working on it last night and trying to upload photos I made the mistake of hitting the back button which wiped out all my carefully chosen words, and since it was late, I gave up and went to bed. So here we go again . . .. I rose early on our last day on the water and witnessed a beautiful sunrise o... » read more
