My maiden voyage from NH to NY
Maiden voyage after purchasing Crosswinds. My friend Grant and I departed Portsmouth, NH on Saturday, May 10, 2009 and I arrived (without Grant) in Queens, NY on Saturday, May 16.
February 14, 2010: Friday morning dawns bright and clear with just a light breeze. I call my friend Chris and ask if he wants to sail with me for the last leg from Stamford to Queens.We manage to get to Stamford, buy some sandwiches and drinks, and get to the marina by noon. October 16, 2010: I saw the Citation today, it is very good shape and , if winter was not coming,you could sail it away. Except the merrimac river has a four knot current where the boat is, that is without the 20 knot wind today.It is worth a survey and an offer, asking price is 19,900. Marblehead, MA to Norfolk, VA 2 women, 2 weeks, 2 sails We leave to explore and fish and clam along the way.
May 01, 2009: Weeee, here we go……………next week we pick up our new boat to sail back to Norfolk, VA. 2 women, one can navigate and one can sail. Together we make a whole sailor. The boat is a Hunter 38 loaded with gear. Logistics are daunting; cars, drop offs, slip availability, etc. » read more
