The work has really finished and we are heading north at last. We don't have an itinerary, we don't have a time frame, we are just heading north and exploring lots of new places...

We plan to take an inside passage behind Bribie Island and cross the bar at Caloundra. we will overnite at Noosa Heads and then head further north to the Wide Bay bar, before exploring the Great Sandy Strait. November 12, 2008: I finally made it to Seawind Factory on the Monday 21st July to see Seawind 1160 Hull #61 on the factory floor – four stations away from completion. Each Seawind spends 2 weeks at each station, before being moved onto the next. May 23, 2008: Here are some photos of Sirocco before she was assembled. She arrived from Bremerhaven, Germany onboard a vehicle carrier called the ‘Pearl Ace’ – a journey which took about 12 weeks. I must admit I did not see her arrival as we were in Europe at the time, but when I first saw her, she was already masted and instrumented. I’ve marked Bremerhaven on the map. » read more
