Thailand’s climate: There is no winter!!
There are no hurricanes and no typhoons. Temperatures range between 25° and 32°C throughout the year, and the sea rarely varies from 28°C. The seasonal monsoon is gentle, while the geography ensures that somewhere in Thailand sailing conditions are always perfect with consistent wind all year round ranging from 15 to 20 knots.

Sailing Regions in Thailand

The Gulf of Thailand (East coast of Thailand) is - especially in the winter season (between November and March) - an area where you can count on steady winds of 15-30 knots and temperatures of 24-35 C. The real treasure in this area is the remote Koh Chang National Park, comprising 50 islands near the Cambodian border, and including the Koh Kut Archipelago – the last group of islands in Thai waters.

Phuket in the Andaman Sea (Thailand’s southwest coast) is best known amongst regional sailors and has the most advanced marine tourism infrastructure in Thailand. The sailing area, stretching from Pattaya to the Ko Chang Archipelago offers some 200 nm of pristine waters with over 50 tropical islands to explore. As a sailing and cruising base, Phuket is unbeatable.
Sailing Highlight are the limestone karsts of Phang-nga Bay, the stunning Similan Islands, Myanmar’s Mergui Archipelago, the almost uninhabited Butang Group, the Hat Chao Mai National Park and the the island of Tarutao.
