About Me
Retired at 60 from Corus Hartlepool Works UK
After travelling a year or so searching for a boat, bought ‘Blithe Spirit’ (Moody 425) at Marti Marina Orhaniye Turkey. Been sailing her ever since with my First Mate Jenny in Spring and Autumn around W Turkey and E Greece.
Sailing Experience
Started sailing fairly late in life in my late forties with flotilla hols to Greece, Croatia and Turkey. Trained in the UK and The Canary Islands to RYA Coastal skipper level. Crewed on a one month yacht delivery Portsmouth to La Gomera (Canary Islands); Fantastic experience; Thanks Gareth!
Ten years crewing on friends boats before buying our own.
