Who makes TripSailor?

TripSailor is made for you by two enthusiastic sailors and internet-geeks who met each other at university. While sailing and thinking about how to record a trip the basic idea of the TripSailor was born. The TripSailor was founded by Ralph Zimmermann and Daniel Hoschek (in this order below).

How is TripSailor made?

TripSailor is written in Ruby on Rails and we use a MySql database. The servers are Debian and run a combination of Apache and Nginx. Hosting and file storage is supported by Amazon(S3 + EC2). Thanks to Mark McClure for his polyline encoder!

We support Microformats and Google Earth KML 2.1. and integrated Flickr blog this.
