1770 Roslyn Bay and Back

1770

We had a good trip to the town of 1770, last Friday. We had Peter and Kathy’s boat in tow (28ft Mustang) It was a little rough in the morning offshore so we headed for the lee of the land and had a pleasant trip along the beach to Round Hill Headland, crossing the bar at around 16:00 hrs. Once inside Pete rafted up and we had a great night and a few rums on board Peggy-Anne. The next morning with a fine forecast Pete and I left Dawn and Pip, to take Pete’s boat the rest of the way to Roslyn Bay marina. We left at 08:00 and took on fuel at Gladstone before heading through The Narrows. What a great day for taking a sports cruiser up the coast. The weather was perfect.  We tied up in the new marina berth at 16:30. Pete and Kathy drove me back to 1770 yesterday and Dawn and I spent today walking and exploring around the town. It’s a great spot and we’ll probably spend a few days here.
