Update from Russell…..

We left Thursday Island this morning and are now just west of Booby Island. We farewelled Clive yesterday afternoon and headed to the pub on Horn Island for dinner.

Overcast and a few showers this morning but clearing to the west. E/SE winds at about 20 N are pushing us along at 7-9 N.

Had a customs boat bear down on us this morning. Asked a range of questions over the radio before zipping by.

We caught a nice 20kg mackeral the other day, picture attached. Back deck looked like there had been a chainsaw murder by the time it stopped flipping around. You will need a bigger filleting table if you take us fishing again!

Any way I had better get back to designing my mechanical naval lint remover, I’m running out of time.
