We tried to time the channel crossing for moderate tradewinds, but ended up with small craft warnings and strong tradewinds – 35 kts, big seas.  It was rough, but uneventful.  We arrived at La Perouse at 0700 and dropped the hook in 45’ of water.  The bay didn’t have much to offer so we up anchored shortly after arrival and sailed a coule miles to the next anchorage -Oneloa Beach.
