Sole Mates III sails to Maine

Day Six to Portland Maine

Everyone has to sail to Maine. We saw two Harbor seals and a baby whale today. Only one do we have a picture of as the others were too quick.
Today has been like three different days combined into one. At the start, the fog was very dense, then it started to lift but was still overcast, and we ended the day with bright sunlight.
The winds were light and variable, forcing us all to motorsail. We covered 40 nm in eight and one half hours, then ended the evening with a Mexican Fiesta hosted by Applejack (Schmidty and Lois).Great meal…
