This is our first day with the CANE group. We began the day at 7:00 AM and proceeded through two openning draw bridges up the Annisquam River. Chip was out in the river waiting for the group to pass his home.

Off Gloucester we had a down wind run to Portsmouth. Solemates III averaged 5.3 to 5.5 knots with just the main. We arrived at Wentworth by the Sea,  Portsmouth, NH at approximately 12:30. Sandra and I went to the heated pool of Marriot operated resort. We walked throught the hotel and took advantage of  some of the amenities. It is a really neat  resort.

CANE hosted a get-together at 5:30 on E dock which we attended.

Tomorrow, off to Portland.
