East (coast) to West (country)
Sod the weather (excuse my language)...

We could be waiting forever for the perfect winds etc. So many people on the pontoon want to get the Helford but have failed in the last couple of days. We’re going to go for it.
The trip was pleasant enough. Really don’t know what the fuss was about (other than the wind gusts had died down completely from the previous days).
Took up a swinging mooring. Waited for a visitors mooring to come free. Moved on to it no worries. Had a lovely relaxing lunch and watched the boats swing about – and dangerously close. Decided to try and shorted the length of chain connecting us to the bouy. Took over an hour with the wind and the tide not helping. We hit the boats on the other mooring a couple of times. Fenders weren’t going to help. In the end left that mooring and took anchorage in one of the most pleasant of coves near the entrance to the River Helford.
