Parry's Sail To the Baltic
Sonderborg to Dyvig anchorage
May 12, 2008
We cant believe it…. a Monday morning and yet another Bank Holiday. So far we have had 3 days holiday in Holland!
The bridge on the outskirts of Sonderborg was indicating an opening time of 11.19 and so with 15 minutes to go (and me still in my dressing gown!) we decided to make a dash for it, I got us off the quay whilst still cleaning my teeth, not very cool. Going through the bridge opening was hectic, every boat for themsleves in both directions!
It was yet another hot day and so we decided to head for an anchorage mentioned in the not so good sailing guide book called Dyvig. We had to negotiate a very narrow channel with very little water in it to get there. Once there we dropped the hook and measured the water temperature, it was saying 20*C and so Hollie and I had a swim. It was fabulous! The water was really nice and there were no jelly fish either.
We all had a sail in the Walker bay too which was very pleasant.
Lets just hope the weather stays THIS GOOD!!!!
