Parry's Sail To the Baltic
Nieuwpoort Belgium to Middelburg Holland
April 11, 2008
Left Nieuwpoort at 10.00am in lovely sunshine and set a course for Vlissingen across the sea from Zeebrugge. Had to punch the tide most of the way as we needed to get to Vlissingen sea lock at high water. Motor sailed most of the way but had a calm sea. Once through the sea lock we had to go under 5 bridges to get to our destination Middelburg. The harbour master had gone home by the time we arrived and so we moored against the visitors pontoon for the evening.
Stayed in Middelburg on 12th a great town with a great square and town hall surrounded b bars and coffee shops. David and Suzanne (Suzie Too) caught us up today and so we celebrated with a beer in the yacht club!
Feel in holiday nomadic mood today! Wish you were all here!!

Hi guys, some great pics. Pleased to hear that you are havin a great time. Here on the south coast things are ticking along, despite your absense! We are now the proud and fully installed owners of a very shiny new Britespark. We had test sail on thursday in a very bright sunny but gusty Chichester Harbour. Spend all weekend moving in all our stuff. How come that always takes so much longer than anticipated? Anyway, we are so pleased to be back on the water, any water, so feelin very chuffed. Rebels joined us for a very small but select christening yesterday, sorry you missed out on the champers, guess we will just have to do it again sometime. Hi to all lotsa love C&C&B xx
