Hello IanThank you for joining us at Trawler Forum, we enjoy solving problems, sharing information and arguing amongst ourselves, (if you haven’t already noticed, but all in good fun!) Many on the Trawler Forum are like you ex-sail boaters from all over the world. Seems to be the natural progression as we get older.I enjoyed reading your blog and it appears you have set course on a very exciting trip. The Mediterranean is lovely and what an exotic expedition you have undertaken. I have often wondered about small boat cruising in the Mediterranean but really have no knowledge what that entails. Carlina appears to be what we call a Marine Trader here in the states, typically powered by Ford Lehman 120’s, around a 1977 model or thereabouts? From your photos, she looks to be in excellent condition. My lady friend, Berta, is an ex-patriot of Madrid, Es. and when she returns to visit family, I use that opportunity to visit Europe. We noted your boats name Carlina is very close to Berta’s daughters name Carmelina. Wow!! So many places to go and see, I wouldn’t know where to begin. Yes, Morocco certainly is a culture shock. One step below Mexico on our Southern border, if that is possible!!I will continue to follow your travels and feel free to join us on Trawler Forum anytime.Larry B.On the good ship “Edelweiss”
